Pride at Work Canada network includes more than 80 other organizations
EDMONTON – NAIT is highlighting its efforts to support LGBT staff by participating in เติมเงินเกมยิงปลาPride at Work Canada’s Workplace Inclusion Index.
The index measures employer initiatives in 8 categories, including policies, benefits and training that support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer and 2-spirited (LGBTQ2S+, commonly referred to as ‘LGBT’) staff.
For NAIT, these include Pride Week celebrations, Safe Spaces and diversity leadership training, anti-bullying awareness campaigns, universal washrooms in all new buildings, and a dedicated LGBT employee resource group.
The inclusion index allows the polytechnic to review its existing practices and establish a benchmark of current initiatives to reduce barriers faced by LGBT staff in the workplace.
NAIT is also working on a diversity and inclusion strategy, which includes LGBT perspectives.
