Some of NAIT’s programs admit students according to a “first qualified” approach.?
How first qualified selection works
In this system, applicants who meet minimum entrance requirements are admitted according to the date their complete application is received.
How you can identify if a program is first qualified
If a program does not list a “Competitive Entrance” (competitive average and/or course(s)) under the requirement of your program of interest, the program follows the first qualified admissions process.
NAIT’s most popular programs follow a system of Competitive Entrance Admission.
In this system, applicants who meet the competitive entrance requirements are admitted on a first-come, first serve basis until the program is full. Once the program is full, qualified candidates who have the competitive entrance requirements are placed on a waitlist. Your position on that waitlist is based on your overall average of the specific courses required by the program.
How can you identify if a program follows competitive entrance
If your program lists a “Competitive Entrance” under the requirements of your program of interest, it follows the “Competitive Entrance” process.
