Overview
This is your opportunity to participate in the Becoming a Master Instructor (BMI) program?that all NAIT instructors complete as a condition of employment with our institute. This train-the-trainer session has been delivered all over the world!
The objective of the BMI program is to assist?participants in developing a teaching practice.??Participants?build their?presentation skills and?confidence in the classroom.? There will be an opportunity for participants to interact professionally with other instructional colleagues.?? A variety of modules are offered and presented as instructional work sessions in which the participants are facilitated through the content utilizing active?learning strategies.?Participants fine tune their skills during?practice-teaching sessions and ultimately?hone those skills?during their own subsequent?teaching experiences.
Please allow for 3 hours of reading between classes and approximately 3 hours to prepare for your practice teaching sessions.

NOTE: Becoming a Master Instructor (BMI)?- Comprehensive (EDUC830) course is delivered primarily?to NAIT staff and will heavily apply the lesson content to NAIT resources and protocols throughout the delivery.? External participants in these course sections should take note of this focus.
NAIT is replacing EDUC830 in August 2018 with a two course combination of EDUC700, delivered online and EDUC730 which will be delivered face to face.? These courses together are equivalent to the previous EDUC830.
Program Model / Completion Requirements
Students will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement in the Becoming a Master Instructor 1?Program on completion of? these course levels (EDUC 810, 815 and 820) or??EDUC830?or EDUC700 &730
Prior to registering for EDUC835 Becoming a Master Instructor Level 2 a minimum?1 year waiting period is required after successfully completing the prerequisite (EDUC830 or EDUC810/EDUC815/EDUC820)
